EHang Partners with Xishan Tourism for 50 EH216-S eVTOLs, Paving the Way for North China’s Largest Urban Air Mobility Hub

According to EHang’s official website, EHang has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Taiyuan Xishan Ecological Tourism Investment and Construction Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Xishan Tourism”) on May 31. Under this agreement, Xishan Tourism has placed an order for 50 EH216-S autonomous electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOLs).

It is reported that Xishan Tourism has made a total payment of 113 million RMB (approximately 15.6 million USD) to EHang. In addition, Xishan Tourism has signed a letter of intent with EHang to purchase an additional 450 EH216-S eVTOLs over the next two years. These eVTOLs will be used for tourism, passenger transportation, and other low-altitude applications, aiming to promote the use and operation of autonomous eVTOLs in the North China region.

According to the MOU, EHang and Xishan Tourism will collaborate to establish the Taiyuan Low-Altitude Economy Industrial Park. This park will house EHang’s North China Command and Dispatch Center, Marketing and Exhibition Center, Operations Center, After-Sales Service Center, and Technology Research Institute. Together, they will create the largest eVTOL urban air mobility operation base in North China.

Additionally, EHang and Xishan Tourism plan to initially develop the EH216-S low-altitude sightseeing demonstration centers in the Xishan Scenic Area and Fenhe Scenic Area in Taiyuan. Over time, they aim to expand the application of autonomous eVTOLs across Shanxi Province and North China, contributing to the growth of the low-altitude industry in the region.
