On May 30th, the Shenzhen Yantian eVTOL (Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing) Industrial Park was officially inaugurated. According to the park’s director, this is the first specialized industrial park in the country focused on the eVTOL sector within the low-altitude economy. Currently, 16 upstream and downstream enterprises have settled in the park.

Creating a Specialized eVTOL Industrial Park
During the unveiling ceremony, a drone performance showcased cutting-edge technology, deftly maneuvering like a nimble dancer among skyscrapers. It zipped through the air, skillfully avoiding obstacles and precisely navigating narrow passages, demonstrating advanced flying techniques.
The Shenzhen Yantian eVTOL Industrial Park aims to create a specialized industrial park for electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft (eVTOL) in China. The park focuses on the eVTOL segment of the low-altitude economy, emphasizing a balanced layout of the eVTOL industrial chain among tenant enterprises. It values each enterprise’s role and position within the industrial chain depth to achieve an integrated development path of “industry focus, enterprise aggregation, and industrial depth,” propelling the eVTOL industry to higher levels and broader fields.
The park follows a “three-primary and two-support” development strategy. The “three-primary” focuses are:
- eVTOL technology and whole machine manufacturing – creating competitive products.
- Key eVTOL components and new aviation materials – highlighting the role of technological innovation.
- Scaled eVTOL operational applications – enhancing sustainable industry development and market competitiveness.
Additionally, the park emphasizes two supporting roles:
- eVTOL Special Development Fund – providing stable financial support for park enterprises.
- Application scenarios – driving the practical application and commercialization of eVTOL technology.
Four Functional Areas Empowering Coordinated Development
The park is divided into four functional areas, each with specific policies to empower and promote the eVTOL industry’s development through a tightly linked relationship. The areas include:
- Headquarters R&D Office Area – Located in Kaisa Plaza, with a building area of 20,000 square meters, serving as the headquarters and R&D base for tenant enterprises.
- Small-scale Production Area – Located in Shatoujiao Free Trade Zone Building 28, covering 85,000 square meters, designated for small-scale manufacturing.
- Test Flight Area – Located at Dameisha Bus Station, occupying 930 square meters, serving as the test flight base.
- Large-scale Production Area – Located in Heyuan Dongyuan County’s “Yantian Fly-In Industrial Park,” planned to cover 100,000 square meters, designated for large-scale manufacturing.
The park adheres to the development principles of “four concentrations”: centralized enterprise (project) layout, industrial cluster development, intensive resource utilization, and integrated function construction. By enhancing planning, innovating systems, building platforms, improving functions, and implementing policies, the park will vigorously carry out investment multiplication plans and business attraction actions. This will create a park advantage where enterprise settlement, basic construction, and application scenarios are realized together. The industrial agglomeration characteristics are evident, leading to industrial upgrading and integrating industry and urban development.
With the official unveiling of the Shenzhen Yantian eVTOL Industrial Park, the first batch of 16 enterprises has settled in. In the future, this park will continue to leverage its advantages in technology, industry, and talent to promote continuous innovation and development in the eVTOL industry.
